The 2023 Kamchatka Steelhead Project (KSP) expedition operated in a modest manner this past season, well-assisted by the participation of his small team as well as by a single Russian sponsor who helped Professor Kuzishchin with the scientific collection effort. The weather and the angling were pretty rough. We are grateful for the effort made by Professor Kirill Kuzishchin and his small team to maintain our collaborative science and anti-poaching efforts.

I hope you will read our 2023 KSP report as well as take in the photographs from Professor Kuzishchin and his team.

2023 KSP Field Report from Professor Kirill Kuzishchin

I would like to express my most profound gratitude for the generous financial support that KSP Sponsors - past and present - have provided in 2020, 2021, 2022 and again in 2023 — support that has made it possible to sustain the conservation achievements our anti-poaching presence and angler-backed scientific programs have attained over 28 years.

Sincerely yours,

Pete Soverel
